Where Does The Week Go??!!

I had a "busy" week for me. It included driving to Spiddal just to buy a paper punch, and a day in the Raddisson Spa in Galway. Ladies with Mother's day approaching I would start hinting now!!!! Himself got me the voucher for Christmas knowing that I would be going back to work in February so he knew it would be a nice treat before I go back. It was lovely. I have to admit I'm very self conscious about my body and was a bit apprehensive thinking of all the skinnymalinks that would be there in teeny weeny bikinis but it wasn't a bit like that! Think heated loungers, huge slipper baths, sauna's and steam rooms with fancy names and massages and facials, it was very relaxing.

We travelled home to wexford for the week end. An old school friend of mine is getting married in South Africa in a few weeks time and her hen night was on. I have'nt been on a hen night in years (my best friend got married in Sept '05 but that doesn't count because I was 7 months pregnant and very sober!) We had a great night and she kept it local which was even better, no ques for taxis or night clubs or anything. In fact we went to "The Disco" in the local hotel and the DJ played any song we asked for , all songs from the 80's and 90's none of that THUMP THUMP THUMP stuff. God I am showing my age!

I got to meet up with some friends that I hadn't managed to meet up with over Christmas, we got to have some tea and delicious orange and lemon muffins in the Book Centre in Wexford town......... I didn't even know that had a coffee shop up there! I'll be going back again.

RuairĂ enjoyed his weekend in Wexford too, well who wouldn't with two sets of grandparents to spoil him! He had great fun with Al's family on Saturday as they tried to take photos around the county. Al's dad and brother are bringing out a CD of some of their songs, they are both Sean Nos singers, and Al is doing the photo's for the cover. I don't think they will be on Top of The Pops anytime soon (is there even such a thing anymore?!) but it will be nice to have, especially in years to come.

RuairĂ did miss his cousin Kirsty at home though, she's off skiing with her mam. My brother has gone too and according to an email we recieved from Kirsty, he's struggling a bit, at 24 years of age I think he has now been put back to Kirsty's group for lessons - she's 8!

This morning I decided today was the day I would start watching what I eat again. even though I haven't put on an awful lot of weight since the accident I haven't been doing very much excercise wise. Even the walk to the bank etc in work used to keep me ticking over. So I started with 10 minutes on the cross trainer aka the clothes rack. I know 10 minutes sounds like nothing but it's 10 minutes more than yesterday and I'm going to try and do another 10 mins here and there during the day and slowly build it up. I am also going Cold Turkey too, I have a huge Coke Problem................the cola variety! I usually drink 2 litres minium a day and could drink more than that, shocking I know, and the only way I can stay away from it is to give it up totally, I can't cut down on it, I love it so much. I had a bottle last night and that's it, it's all gone. So fingers crossed. God help and Al though for the next couple of weeks because I get so crabby when I come off it!

Now I realise why I should have been posting every day, cos now I have an essay length post and most of you will have given up the will to live by the time you get here...............so thank you and congratulations if you've made it this far.. Thanks for keeping me company this morning.
